The amount of recovery depends on the Huperion's attack power, so just keep raising the Huperion's attack power.
If you have a water totem, you can use the totem's recovery power and attack power to increase the huperion's recovery power.
If you have a water totem, it will increase the healing power of the totem plus the attack power, which will also increase the healing power of Hupe.
However, if the attack power goes up, the enemy will die first and you won't have time to recover.
